The world’s largest tennis tournament is set to host its biggest game ever.
But the game itself is set for a weekend, with more than 20,000 people expected to compete.
The Australian Open will be held in Melbourne from June 25-27, with the tournament opening with the men’s quarter-final at the MCG on July 6.
It will be the biggest men’s tournament in Australia and will be contested at a venue that includes the MCGs famous stadium, which is set among the world famous landmarks.
There will also be a women’s tournament at Melbourne’s Centennial Stadium on July 20, which will be hosted by the Australian Women’s Tennis Association.
In an attempt to make sure spectators are safe, spectators are advised to wear full face coverings and not wear gloves.ABC News’ Dan Kelly reports from Melbourne, Australia.
